Seven years.
That's how long it's been since I first dreamed of starting a newsletter.
Since that time, so many aspects of my daily life have evolved. I've started and finished several exciting projects, and I'll share many of those stories here. While I still have unfinished projects, I also have a lot to celebrate.
Recently, I lost a close friend from my undergraduate years. He was a builder in every sense of the word, a leader who dedicated himself to making a positive impact wherever he went. That desire to create, contribute, and leave things better than we found them was something we shared.
His passing reminded me that some projects don't need another year of planning. They need a start date.
Last week was the first week of summer in our house, and it feels like the perfect time to begin. This newsletter is the first item I'll cross off my list of unfinished projects.
More importantly, it's a place to document the journey ahead. The projects, lessons, creative experiments, and everyday moments that make a life.
If it's been a while since we've connected, welcome back.
Recent Projects
Here are a few things I've been working on recently:
- Started four container gardens
- Began reimagining Atlas Candles into something new, more on that soon
- Continued growing creative and wellness projects that bring me joy
- Entered my first community art exhibit
Your Turn
If you've been waiting for a sign to dust off an old dream, finish a project, or finally tackle that item that's been sitting on your to-do list, consider this your note.
Hit reply and tell me: What are you working toward?
Whether it's something big, something small, or simply getting started, I'd love to hear about it. Maybe we can encourage each other along the way.
Thanks for being here at the beginning.
